Position Overview
The Village is seeking qualified candidates for a part-time Police Records Clerk position with the Fox River Grove Police Department to work up to 24 hours per week. The days and hours worked are flexible during the week. The position pays between $25.00 and $28.00 per hour (DOQ) and is a non-benefit position, but does include IMRF retirement benefits. The successful applicant will provide support in the Police Department in a variety of work assignments.
PositionResponsibilities
The position includes a variety of police record related functions that may change from day-to-day. The position requires a self-motivated and dependable individual who is organized and flexible; provides attention to detail, deadlines, and procedures and has the ability to handle and prioritize multiple responsibilities simultaneously. The position also requires good communication skills and exceptional customer service skills. Under the general direction of Police Department management, duties include data entry, answering phones, scanning documents, and providing support in a variety of work assignments and administrative processes.
Daily interaction with various Village staff, senior management, police officers, and the public will occur.
Must be experienced with Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Outlook, Word), and possess some data entry experience. Experience working with a municipal police department or familiarity with police department operations is a plus. Some administrative and/or secretarial work experience is a plus.
