Field Support Technicial
Job Location s:- US-DC-Washington

Peraton is seeking an experienced systems Field Support Engineer to join our national intelligence program that delivers engineering, application development, deployment, operations, upgrades and sustainment of products and services to achieve our client's global missions. Work is performed at the customer site(s).
Responsibilities:- Provide expert and second-tier technical support and analysis to field engineers and technicians.
- Provide technical advice and guidance on installation, adaptation, configuration, or enhancement of technical products, programs, and systems.
- Test, train, and field support to customers regarding technical aspects of designated systems and services.
- Provide expertise for the resolution of technical problems, troubleshoot products, and modify products to customer requirements.
- Maintain network stability through advanced troubleshooting, timely resolution of incidents, and proactive maintenance to provide the maximum availability and optimal Mean Time to Repair.
- Provide training to customers.
- Partner with developers and engineers to reduce reoccurring incidents.
- Answer questions about installation, operation, configuration, customization and usage of designated systems and services.
- Review and develop technical documents.
- Travel/TDY may be required CONUS and OCONUS as required to support the customer's mission.
Position is contingent on contract award.
Basic Qualifications:- Active Top Secret/ Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with ability to pass and obtain a Poly clearance.
- 5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 0 years with PhD.
- 4 years experience can be used in lieu of a degree.
- Current CISSP or Security+ Certification.
- Systems Administration of Windows Server and Operating system, Unix, or Linux and/or database skillset.
- Technical knowledge and experience with Microsoft products, including Windows Server and Operating system, Unix or Linux and databases (e.g., Windows 10/11, Server 2016/2019, Red Hat 7.x/8.x/9.x Operating Systems, SQL; Power Shell, and Office; Microsoft SQL Server or SQL Server Management Studio, Active Directory).
- General knowledge of networking.
- Possess good oral and written skills.
Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI with Poly clearance.
- Current VMware, Nutanix, or similar Certification e.g. VCP, NCP, etc.
- Strong background in server virtualization e.g. VMware, Nutanix, Open Shift, Harvester, Proxmox, MS Hyper-V, Citrix, Azure, AWS, etc.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Terraform or Ansible.
- Experience with Dell Power Flex.
- Experience working in a large enterprise environment.
- Knowledge of storage area networks to include network operating systems, SAN protocols, SAN management, and SAN physical configuration.
- Computing Environment compliance.
Security Clearance: This Position requires an Active TS/SCI and the ability to obtain a Poly, US Citizenship is required to hold this clearance.
Target Salary Range:$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
