RoleMechanical Engineering Technician
Purpose:
Support the assembly, maintenance, and testing of mechanical systems and components to ensure proper functionality and performance.
- Assembling and installing mechanical components and systems.
- Performing routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
- Conducting tests and troubleshooting mechanical issues.
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
- Assisting engineers with prototype development and modifications.
- Maintaining tools, equipment, and work areas in proper condition.
- Assist with CNC machine operation and clean up.
- On occasion, working extended hours to meet tight deadlines
- High School diploma or GED
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in mechanical assembly or maintenance.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Able to stand and work on your feet for long durations
- Periodically lift 50+ pounds.
- Basic computer skills. (Microsoft 365)
- Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain authorization from the U.S. Department of State.
- Associates degree or technical certification in Mechanical Engineering Technology or a related field.
- Previous experience working with tight tolerance assemblies.
- Soldering and electrical assembly experience.
- Cable harness assembly experience.
