Field Support Technician Advisor

Job Location s: US-DC-Washington | US-VA-Reston | US-MD-Riverdale

Provide expert and second-tier technical support and analysis to field engineers and technicians. Work is performed at the customer site(s).

• Provide technical advice and guidance on installation, adaptation, configuration, or enhancement of technical products, programs and systems.
• Test, train and provide field support to customers regarding technical aspects of designated systems and services.
• Provide expertise for the resolution of technical problems, troubleshoot products and modify products to customer requirements.
• Maintain network stability through advanced troubleshooting, timely resolution of incidents and proactive maintenance to provide maximum availability and optimal Mean Time to Repair.
• Provide training to customers.
• Partner with developers and engineers to reduce recurring incidents.
• Answer questions about installation, operation, configuration, customization and usage of designated systems and services.
• Review and develop technical documents.
• Travel/TDY may be required CONUS and OCONUS as required to support the customer's mission.

Position is Contingent on Contract Award.

• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with ability to pass and obtain a Poly clearance.
• Minimum of 8 years relevant experience with bachelor's degree; minimum of 6 years with master's degree; minimum of 3 years with PhD or 12+ years of relevant work experience can be used in lieu of a degree.
• Current CISSP or Security+ certification.
• Systems administration of Windows Server and operating systems, Unix or Linux and/or database skillset.
• Technical knowledge and experience with Microsoft products, including Windows Server and OS, Unix or Linux and databases (Windows 10/11, Server 2016/2019, Red Hat 7.x/8.x/9.x OS, SQL, Power Shell, Office, SQL Server or SQL Server Management Studio, Active Directory).
• General knowledge of networking.
• Possess good oral and written skills.

• Active TS/SCI with Poly clearance.
• Current VMware, Nutanix or similar certification (e.g., VCP, NCP).
• Strong background in server virtualization (VMware, Nutanix, Open Shift, Harvester, Proxmox, MS Hyper‑V, Citrix, Azure, AWS).
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Terraform or Ansible.
• Experience with Dell Power Flex.
• Experience working in a large enterprise environment.
• Knowledge of storage area networks to include network operating systems, SAN protocols, SAN management and SAN physical configuration.
• Computing environment compliance.

This Position requires an Active TS/SCI and the ability to obtain a Poly. US Citizenship is required to hold this clearance.
