As a Microsoft SQL Server Database Engineer, you will be responsible for a range of exciting tasks:
- Perform database administration activities, including the installation and maintenance of database management software, and the design and implementation of predictive analysis.
- Configure, provision, operate, and administer database management systems and related software, as well as backend storage server and hardware platforms.
- Design, install, monitor, maintain, and fine‑tune production databases while ensuring high data availability.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of database policies and procedures to maintain data integrity and availability, including software updates.
- Collaborate closely with the development, business, and operations teams to ensure the security and confidentiality of data.
- Take ownership of the availability, reliability, and integrity of business data stored in production databases.

QualificationsRequired Qualifications
- TS/SCI clearance with polygraph adjudication or active TS with the ability to obtain SCI and pass a polygraph
- Bachelor's degree in a field of study applicable to the position with 8+ years of relevant experience. Additional 4 years experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- A minimum 8 years of experience with SQL Server database administration
- Active Security+ (DoD 8570 Baseline certification for IAT Level
2) - Must be able to install, configure, and maintain database management systems according to the project requirements
- Able to perform regular backups of all databases to ensure data integrity and availability
- Able to implement and maintain database security measures, including user access control and encryption
- Able to monitor database performance and optimize queries and indexes for improved efficiency
- Able to handle database migrations and upgrades, ensuring minimal downtime and data loss; can troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues promptly to minimize disruptions
- Requires good communication skills to collaborate with other teams, such as application developers and system administrators, to ensure seamless integration and performance
