The Journeyman Electrician is responsible for providing technical expertise to safely plan and perform electrical work for residential solar projects.

• Ensure work is performed neatly and in compliance with all state and local codes and standards.
• Assemble all components of a residential solar system.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot system components to resolve electrical issues.
• Interface with branch leadership to ensure compliance with electrician/labor ratios and continuing education requirements.
• Follow OSHA, NEC, AHJ and utility requirements.
• Work with crew and complete all portions of photovoltaic system installs.
• Follow all safe work practices.
• Provide top‑notch customer service throughout the installation.
• Upload photos and update job status in the company database when work is complete.
• Have strong knowledge and experience of conduit bending (EMT) to produce quality work day after day.
• Document work by taking pictures and completing work orders.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school graduate, GED, or equivalent.
• State JE Electrical License.

• Minimum 3 years of electrical installation and repair experience.
• Knowledge of replacing residential electrical services and distribution panels.
• Experience with hand and power tools associated with the electrical trade.

• Maintain current and valid State Journeyman License/Electrician Certification.
• Ability to drive a vehicle during normal course of business; clean driving record; pass driving background check.
• Effectively manage work to achieve required timelines.
• Strong interpersonal/human relations skills.
• Read and interpret single‑ and three‑line drawings.
• Work safely in a branch/warehouse.
• Participate in meetings and interact with co‑workers.

• Working knowledge of current NEC codes.

• Use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls.
• Stand, walk, run for long periods.
• Climb ladders, scaffolds or poles.
• Kneel, stoop, crouch or crawl.
• Bend, stretch, twist, or reach out.
• Repeat movements.
• See details of objects smaller than a few feet.

• Make quick, precise adjustments to machine controls.
• Hold arm and hand steady while moving the arm.

• See differences between colors, shades, and brightness.
• Move two or more limbs together while staying in place.
• Use stomach and lower back muscles to support body for long periods without fatigue.
• Maintain balance or stay upright in unstable positions.
• React quickly with hands, fingers, or feet.
• Look forward to see objects or movements off to the side.
• Lift 50+ pounds.

Employee is required to travel for business purposes. Must have a valid driver’s license, insurance, and the ability to drive a personal vehicle to different sites.
