Science Teacher K-8

DuBois Integrity Academy (DIA) is hiring a Science Teacher for the  academic school year. DuBois Integrity STEM Academy’s academic program has two pillars that support substantial achievement improvement: STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) combined with Blended Learning. We use theme‑based, interdisciplinary, integrated curricula to facilitate instruction and learning. A combination of tightly‑controlled behavioral studies and groundbreaking neurological research supports theme‑based education as a means to improve the opportunities for success for all learners.

We are seeking a passionate, highly enthusiastic Science Teacher who will create and teach engaging, student‑centered lessons and have strong content knowledge in Science. The candidate must analyze data, use innovative research‑based strategies and ensure students’ academic achievement while providing excellent customer service to students, staff, parents, and the community.

• Instruct students using various teaching methods, lectures, discussions, visual aids, and other effective teaching methods for student comprehension.
• Prepare lessons and outlines to use in class that effectively cover the material.
• Administer various types of assessments to monitor students’ performance, behavior and other issues.
• Attend faculty meetings and training sessions.

• The candidate must be able to create and maintain a climate that promotes respect, tolerance and peaceful problem solving for all students.
• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Minimum of SRT4 – Certification in Early Childhood Education (P‑5) OR passed the Program Admissions Assessment or have exemption eligibility AND passed the GACE in ECE.
