Elementary Teacher - 5th Grade

Teaching Position

Instructs students in one or more contents/areas, such as Reading, ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies. May be designated according to subject matter/content specialty. Utilizes current strategies and theories to plan and implement lessons. This position reports to the Principal.

Key responsibilities include instructing students, using various teaching methods, assigning lessons and correcting homework, administering tests, maintaining discipline in classroom, supervising behavior outside the classroom, preparing course outlines and objectives, conducting parent/teacher conferences, and participating in faculty and professional meetings.

Key job requirements include a bachelor's degree or higher, minimum of one year of teaching experience preferred, making recommendations and/or decisions which usually affect the entire school, certification by the State of Georgia in Education T-4 to T-7 as required by the GaPSC, and normal classroom/school setting with physical demands as described.
