Location:Southern Regional Medical Center – Riverdale, GA

We are seeking a
CT Technologist,sometimes referred to asa Radiologic Technologist II (Rad Tech).As a CT Technologist you will specialize andbe responsible for operating CT scanners and X-ray machines to produce cross-sectional images ofpatient’sinternal organs and tissues. You willassistin diagnosing medical conditions and the treatment plan process, by producing high-quality images that help healthcare providers make informed decisions about our patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients and ensure patients are properly positioned on the Computer Tomography (CT) table and explain the procedure to them with empathy, address any concerns or questions they may have
  • Operate CT scanners and/or X-ray machines to obtain images of the targeted body parts, which may involve adjusting the CT scanner settings tooptimizeimage quality while minimizing radiation exposure, radiation safetyat all times
  • Monitor our patients, as a CT Technologist ensure their comfort and safety throughout the procedure
  • Assist other radiologists, as you will work closely with them, who interpret the images you produced by the CT exam you may alsoassistin administering contrast agents or perform certain procedures
  • Accountable for the quality assurance of CT scanners / X-ray machines to ensure they function properly and produceaccurateimages
  • Responsible formaintainingradiologic supplies, making sure the equipment is in good operating order, and following protocolsregardinginfection control and hygiene
  • Maintain your register status for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists  (ARRT)
Qualifications
  • 1. One year of acute, clinical radiology experience is preferred.
  • 2. Knowledge of mobile and stationary Radiographic / Fluoroscopic equipment is required.
  • 3. Extensive knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology is required.
  • 4. Graduate of a program accredited by ARRT.
  • 5. Radiology license and fluoroscopy permit as required by State.
  • 6. Effective 07/01/2015, CT ARRT Certification is required.
  • 7. Must maintain BCLS (AHA) upon hire..
  • 8. Proficient computer skills.#LI-DF2
