Location: Southern Regional Medical Center - Riverdale, GA
We are seeking an Emergency Room RN Supervisor, also referred to as an Emergency Department RN Supervisor or Emergency Services RN Supervisor. The ER RN Supervisor oversees daily nursing operations in the emergency services department, ensuring high-quality patient care, efficient workflow, and compliance with hospital policies and safety protocols. The ER RN Supervisor will supervise and support nursing staff, coordinate patient care with the healthcare team, manage critical incidents, and participate in quality improvement and emergency preparedness initiatives.
Responsibilities- Oversee daily ER nursing operations in the emergency department, ensuring high-quality patient care and efficient workflow
- Supervise and support ER nursing staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations
- Coordinate patient care activities between nurses, physicians, and other healthcare team members to optimize treatment and patient flow
- Monitor compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and regulatory standards specific to emergency care
- Manage critical incidents and assist in handling complex or high-acuity patient situations
- Communicate with patients, families, and staff to address concerns and provide updates on care processes
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and emergency preparedness planning for the department
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
Completion of emergency pediatric course 1 & 2 within 30 days of hire
Advanced or AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certificate within 30 days upon hire
