Missile Defense Operations Support Cell Team Lead – Hill AFB, UT
This position directly supports the DISA‑provided GIG capabilities and services in the 24x7 DISA Global Field Command (DGFC). It is a leadership role for a team of Leidos employees and sub‑contractors, responsible for daily operations, performance, employee development, and technical support of militarized communications networks.

Requires U.S. citizenship and an active Secret clearance.
- Lead a team of Leidos employees and sub‑contractors; define direction and align team goals with organization and customer mission.
- Manage daily contractor operations, serving as focal point for assigned tasks and addressing performance issues.
- Foster employee growth and development, promoting continuous learning and skill enhancement.
- Staffing activities and addressing performance concerns, resolving disputes within the team.
- Provide guidance and resources for team success and motivation.
- Ensure missile defense OSC technicians adhere to MDA source documentation, DoD policies, DISA circulars, local TTPs, and watch officer documentation.
- Partner with engineering team to specify network architecture, evaluate and integrate new technologies, and conduct needs assessments.
- Analyze user requirements, concepts of operations documents, and system architectures to develop solutions for outages or system issues.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and problem resolution of complex network problems.
- Interact with customers and senior leadership regarding network engineering and technical considerations.
- Work with DoD SATCOM Gateway facilities and deployed operators to troubleshoot SONET, IP, and SATCOM network issues.
- Provide SONET/SDH/IP network support, including configuration of switches, routers, multiplexers, media converters, and modems.
- Utilize diagrams, maps, cut sheets, and TSOs/SAAs/GAAs as source documentation for network configuration.
- Use ticketing applications to track and resolve customer problems related to network communication.
- BS with 4–8 years of relevant experience, or Masters with 2–6 years, or equivalent education/experience.
- DoD‑8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE or equivalent) prior to start date.
- Ability to work in a 24x7 shift schedule.
- Active DoD Secret security clearance.
- Deep understanding of Transport and IP network topologies.
- Prior management experience in IT or operations.
- Tech control facility or cyber transport experience.
- Circuit action and vendor experience.
- IP architecture experience.
- Telco NOC, inside or outside plant experience.
- Proficiency with MS Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Teams).
- Experience with alarm surveillance, fault management, LAN maintenance, performance management, change management.
- Pay range: $73,450.00–$.
