Position Summary
Provides member service by maintaining the checkout area, resolving member issues, promoting Sam's Club products, guiding members on self‑service technology, processing purchases, handling payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges, and ensuring safety and security procedures are followed.
Responsibilities- Assist members with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, arranging store layout, and transporting items ensuring a safe shopping environment.
- Maintain entrance, checkout, and exit areas, verify membership cards, and acknowledge member needs.
- Process purchases, payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges following company policies.
- Conduct safety sweeps, report unsafe situations, and observe for potential criminal activity.
- Handle merchandise properly, identify shrink and damages, and maintain paperwork and logs.
- Execute emergency response procedures and maintain compliance with security and safety standards.
- Assist in training new associates on processes, technology, and program roll‑outs.
- Apply company ethics and integrity policies, use the Open Door Policy, and implement related action plans.
- Complete work assignments using data, resources, and collaboration with managers, coworkers, and partners.
- Model Walmart values, foster a culture of belonging, and mentor others.
- Deliver results with a customer‑first mindset, balance short and long‑term priorities, and use reliable information to decide.
- Show curiosity, take calculated risks, and drive continuous improvements with new technologies.
- Retail experience including operating front‑end equipment such as a cash register.
- Experience working with mobile retail applications.

The hourly wage range is $18.00 to $26.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances.
