$16.00 to $19.00 per hour

Position Summary

We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager with a minimum of six (6+) months of management or 3rd key experience. The Assistant Store Manager is accountable for day‑to‑day operations, leading and developing store employees, recruiting and retaining top talent, maximizing financial goals, and managing customer relations. This role partners closely with the Store Manager to create a customer‑centric environment, analyze financial statements, and pursue new customer acquisitions in a retail setting that includes jewelry and general merchandise.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate a customer‑centric environment by engaging customers in a friendly and professional manner and rapidly addressing customer issues.
  • Recruit top talent through company‑prescribed channels.
  • Open and close the store, including counting cash drawers and merchandise, and ensuring all procedures are followed to protect assets.
  • Oversee asset protection through inventory control, property safety procedures, documentation, and securing customer loans.
  • Administer store processes and procedures, including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, store systems, and enterprise‑level reporting.
  • Evaluate the store’s financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal setting.
  • Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to ensure the value and integrity of all loans issued.
  • Ensure operating standards meet or exceed First Cash standards.
  • Comply with company policies, including the asset protection program and customer‑service standards.
  • Communicate clearly with employees to ensure understanding of the store’s mission and profit objectives.
  • Remain up‑to‑date on product knowledge.
  • Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Complete assigned training for self‑development and any related duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Minimum age 18 years old.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Must be willing and able to perform duties for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Experience supervising others and working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and cash‑handling skills.
  • Excellent work ethic, strong business sense, and ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Point‑of‑Sale (POS) systems and common office machines.
  • Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
  • Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified (if required by location).
  • Must have the ability to carry out duties involving operating a vehicle fleet inventory as needed.
  • Must be willing to comply with company policies, including arbitration agreements, asset protection, and background‑check requirements.
