Campus Safety Officer / Support NCO

Utah Military Academy (UMA) is accepting applications for the full‑time position of Campus Safety Officer/Support NCO. The Campus Safety Officer provides safety, security, and instructor support to UMA under the supervision of the Dean of Cadets or other administrators.

• Maintaining the safety and security of cadets, staff, and property through active patrols and monitoring.
• Supporting UMA's disciplinary program, with the primary goal of changing negative pupil behavior through consistent enforcement of rules and mentoring.
• Serving as a role model in military customs, courtesies, and cadet uniform standards.
• Assisting administrators in the enforcement of UMA's Code of Conduct, parent handbooks, and district policies.
• Acting as an immediate resource in emergencies, including medical response and de‑escalation.
• Serving as a liaison between UMA and law enforcement, community partners, or other outside agencies.
• Performing substitute teaching or classroom coverage when directed.
• Carrying out all required duties in accordance with Utah state law, district policy, and safety office direction (including confidential state‑mandated certifications and assessments).
• Performing additional duties as assigned by the dean of Cadets or school administrative team.
