Job description:
Cabinet manufacturing company in Riverside is looking for a direct hire Forklift Driver ASAP.
Schedule:- M-F 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
- Must be flexible with OT and possible Saturdays.
This position is responsible for preparing and transporting material to various departments in the plant and stocking materials in racks.
Essential Functions- Responsible for performing the necessary inspections of forklift and complete OSHA checklist.
- Responsible for opening all dock doors and removing chains/lower ramp gate upon arrival of trucks
- Respond to emails in regards to pressing matters and check on the status of delayed trucks
- Responsible for unloading of truck by using forklift
- Will document all materials received in inventory
- Verify the pack lists of all materials received
- Scan in and label (if needed) all materials.
- Use fork truck to distribute the received materials to the appropriate departments or designated areas.
- Clean and organize area, sort and put away any additional stock
- Verify all paperwork to completion and return to the inventory department for counts
- Must have a minimum of 6 months experience stand-up reach forklift. Sit-down forklift experience is highly preferred.
- Scan orders/labels by utilizing an RF gun scanner
- Ensure accuracy of orders before delivering
- Take material off conveyor belts
- Strap material if necessary
- Stock material in racks or bins for production
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, kneel, bend, twist, and walk. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to speak and communicate with other employees, be able to hear well enough to recognize warning signals, forklifts, and announcements.
The employee is frequently required to lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 75 pounds.
- Indoor manufacturing environment. The noise level is usually moderate to high and hearing protection may be required. Safety glasses are required and work gloves are required. Occasional overtime and weekend work required.
