Accounting Supervisor

Description

We are looking for a dedicated Accounting Supervisor to join our team in Riverside, California. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a stable food distribution company by managing key accounting processes and supporting financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting practices and excel in both technical and analytical tasks. Responsibilities:

- Manage and maintain general accounting activities, including ledger reconciliation and journal entries.

- Prepare and review journal entries to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.

- Perform cost accounting tasks, including standard cost analysis and reporting.

- Collaborate with the Controller on special accounting projects to enhance financial operations.

- Assist in month-end closing procedures, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

- Utilize Net Suite software to streamline accounting processes and generate financial reports.

- Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights.

- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

- Support audit and compliance activities by providing necessary documentation and repor

Requirements - Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or a related field.

- Proficiency in general accounting practices, including ledger management and journal entries.

- Experience with cost accounting and standard costing methodologies.

- Advanced knowledge of Net Suite software for accounting purposes.

- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and data analysis.

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data.

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and adapt to changing priorities.
