Job Description
Position Summary: The Staff Accountant will work under the supervision of the Controller. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for supporting with the financial reporting, all daily, monthly, quarter end accounting activities including accounts payable/receivable, performing general ledger analysis, cash management, cash, assisting with preparing financial items, and analyzing monthly and year-end budget variances. Assist with the preparation of monthly and quarterly reports, analysis, and planning.
Working Relationships: Work directly with the Controller, and in collaboration with the RCHF/CSA staff, external auditors, and regulatory agencies.
Position ResponsibilitiesEducation: A possession of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of five years of accounting experience; education may be substituted for additional experience. 10 plus years of accounting experience may substitute for Bachelors degree requirements.

- Ability to maintain poise and exercise diplomacy in dealing with donors, Board members, staff, visitors, etc.

- Ability to perform repetitive functions utilizing good finger dexterity
- Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and discretion in dealing with the sensitive nature of materials handled and maintained in the Foundation office
- Ability to sit/stand for 2-5 hours, walk, bend/stoop, and twist/turn for up to 2-3 hours.
- Ability to stand up/lift, lift and carry, lifts overhead, and push/pull up to 10lbs.
