Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk for a direct hire opportunity in Riverside, CA. This role supports payroll processing for hourly and salaried employees in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ensuring payroll is accurate, timely, and compliant with federal, state, and California wage‑and‑hour requirements.
The Payroll Clerk will work closely with HR, Accounting, Benefits, and operations teams to validate timekeeping records, process payroll data, resolve employee payroll questions, and support audits and reporting. Key Responsibilities- Process payroll data for hourly and salaried employees, including regular hours, overtime, meal premiums, shift differentials, bonuses, adjustments, and corrections.
- Review, audit, and validate timekeeping records to support compliance with wage‑and‑hour requirements.
- Maintain employee payroll data, including pay rates, deductions, garnishments, tax with holdings, and related payroll changes.
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries professionally, confidentially, and in a timely manner.
- Support payroll audits, reconciliations, reporting, payroll registers, variance reports, labor reports, and year‑end W‑2 processes.
- Coordinate payroll‑related information with HR, Accounting, and Benefits teams while maintaining accurate payroll records.
