OverviewWe are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity to join our West Lothian Community Administration Teams as a Relief Administrative Assistant, providing vital support to ensure the smooth operation of WLHSCP community vaccination services. In this dynamic role, you’ll bring strong organisational and time management skills, along with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. A keen eye for detail and a conscientious work ethic are essential to maintain accurate systems and produce high-quality documentation.
You should be self‑motivated, flexible, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Greeting patients in person.
- Registering them on TURAS.
- Handling telephone enquiries with a professional telephone manner.
- Performing a range of ad‑hoc administrative tasks.
- Full UK work authorisation.
- The post holder must have a current PVG Scheme membership/record for the relevant regulatory group (child and/or adult). If not, an application to Disclosure Scotland and satisfactory completion is required.
- Ability to comply with any legislative changes to criminal records checks from 1 April 2025, as may be required for a regulated role.
- Full training and ongoing support, with opportunities to develop new skills while working alongside multi‑agency teams.
- Part‑time: 15 hrs per week.
- Weekend shift schedule:
Saturday and Sunday, 8:30am – 4:30pm. - Salary pro‑rata per hour.
- Support for disabled candidates, long‑term conditions and neurodivergent candidates by making reasonable adjustments to recruitment policy and practices.
