Position Information

The Harvest Shared Service Center Payroll Analyst provides payroll-related services including but not limited to onboarding, off-boarding, payroll oversight, payroll auditing, time reporting, position management, personnel updates, leave balances, etc. The Payroll Analyst will work with internal and external departments as well as SSC departments to gather information to communicate the accurate entry of information of bi-weekly and monthly payroll processes for both staff and academic faculty.

The incumbent will provide data analytics for auditing purposes, to assist in trends and process improvements. The incumbent will be responsible for monitoring UCPath inquiries and escalated inquiries. Works on complex payroll issues provide guidance as payroll subject matter expert (SME). The analyst will assist with the approval of UCPath entries (AWE) under the guidance of the Payroll Director. The full salary range for the Payroll Analyst 2 is $26.82 - $46.17 per hour.

However, the expected pay scale for this position is $26.82 - $41.33. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.

As a University employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time. Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements.

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training. Required

Experience Requirements

  • 2 - 4 years of related experience. Required UCPath experience Preferred

Minimum Requirements

  • Working knowledge of organizational processes, procedures, and understands organizational rules and regulations. Demonstrated judgment and decision-making skills; verbal, written and active listening communication skills. Uses interpersonal skills and service orientation skills in interactions with customers and colleagues. Good organizational skills and ability to multi-task. Problem solving, problem identification and reasoning skills. Intermediate mathematical skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of many payroll processes, policies, and procedures; knowledge of organization-specific computer application programs.
