Location:

This is a remote role, with occasional in-person meetings at our Southern California headquarters (Arcadia, CA) when approved by the company.

Position Summary

The Program Manager, EV Charging Infrastructure is responsible for managing the successful execution of EVCS charging station projects and programs from concept through planning, execution, monitoring, and closure, ensuring they meet requirements within contracted scope, schedule, and budget.

The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in construction best practices and project/program management methodologies, an excellent communicator, collaborative, a problem solver, and an action‑oriented leader with strong business acumen who can translate challenges into actionable solutions in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities
  • Manage projects and programs from origination to commissioning and close out, aligned with EVCS values and guidelines for safety, quality, and business ethics.
  • Oversee and drive scope, schedule, budget, quality, resources, stakeholder communication, risks, and procurement to meet project and program requirements.
  • Lead a diverse team of designers, technicians, construction personnel, contractors, and consultants; assign tasks and set clear expectations.
  • Create and analyze financial information such as budgets, cost expenditures, and milestone forecasting against the project and program schedule to maintain financial health.
  • Control costs by:
    • 1) Effectively planning and reviewing cost expenditures against activity.
    • 2) Negotiating price and costs with vendors.
    • 3) Optimizing resource allocations and timing of activity.
    • 4) Performing risk assessments to forecast and mitigate potential cost impacts.
  • Build and maintain project and program schedules and key milestones in collaboration with design, construction, finance, funding, and other stakeholders.
  • Forecast project and program cost expenditure based on the schedule and anticipated spend timing.
  • Create and manage milestone payment forecasts based on schedule, funding programs, and when key milestones can be invoiced.
  • Update key project and program information in project and program software in a timely manner.
  • Organize and maintain all project and program documentation, ensuring key documents are captured and stored throughout the life of the project and program.
  • Facilitate work across the project and program team, develop schedules, lead requirements-gathering meetings, plan and track progress, manage and mitigate risks, troubleshoot issues, and develop solutions to deliver on time, within budget and scope, with effective communication.
  • Recommend sequences for actions, procurement and purchases and coordinate necessary meetings to ensure timely delivery of products and services.
  • Support the company’s continuous improvement efforts by reviewing lessons learned and suggesting changes to processes to improve quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of execution.
  • Act as a single point of contact with stakeholders, communicating progress, facilitating issue resolution, and following up on deliverables.
  • Lead project and program meetings, stakeholder presentations, internal reviews, and vendor meetings.
  • Monitor change orders and negotiations on additional work.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned at the company’s discretion.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree or related experience
  • Minimum 5–7 years of relevant work experience as a project and program manager in construction or energy industry
  • Knowledge of construction, project and program management best practices, and financial acumen
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to interact with customer representatives
  • Ability to support and facilitate technical reviews of various documentation and deliverables
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks and work independently
  • Strong skills in Excel and other Microsoft Office products
  • Must be an exceptional communicator and collaborator
  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
