SUMMARY:
Collaborates with the Youth Department Director to implement the media needs and projects of the youth department. Needs may include videography, graphic design, audio video support, social media, and web design.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required, as well as physical demands and work environment.
Education and/or ExperienceBachelors degree (B.A.) in Film Production and/or Graphic Design completed or nearing completion. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be a substitute for requirements.
Language SkillsAbility to effectively present information and communicate messaging on behalf of the SECC and Youth Ministries department. Ability to present ideas and needs for media projects and campaigns to those without media background.
Reasoning AbilityAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations. Exhibit an ability to solve problems creatively and to make decisions under highly stressful situations.
OtherSkills and Abilities
Exhibit organization and leadership ability. Must be confidential. Ability to be a team player and work in a teamwork environment.
Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk; stand; sit; climb or balance and talk and hear. Filming equipment will need to be lifted, carried, and operated. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to change focus.
Work EnvironmentThe noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and work is performed in both indoor and outdoor environments, depending upon meeting and filming locations.
