PBX Operator

Position Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team as a PBX Operator. The ideal candidate uses their engaging personality to create a memorable first impression for our guests as they call the resort or hotel. While answering the phones, the PBX Operator serves as a source of knowledge for guests about the hotel, its amenities, and the local area.

• Answer incoming calls within 3 rings and direct calls throughout the resort while providing courteous service, using guest names and responding promptly to questions, complaints, or requests.
• Dispatch all guest calls through radios or devices to the appropriate departments.
• Become fully familiar with the resort's outlets and services available to guests and provide accurate information at all times.
• Obtain updated information daily on resort events and answer inquiries about these events accurately.
• Operate the resort telephone system SMS accurately to provide maximum courteous and efficient service.
• Log and clear all guest calls into the HOT SOS system; use the call back system to clear calls with guest names.
• Follow up with all guest calls and complaints, addressing them with guest names.
• Perform concierge duties including restaurant reservations, resort activities, and off‑property attractions.
• Log and store all guest packages following all procedures.
• Maintain the PBX area in a neat and orderly manner.
• Be familiar with the resort's emergency procedures to play a key role in the event of an emergency.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong desire to make an impact on other people.
• Outgoing and engaging personality.
• Computer skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced setting.
• Ability to stand for the duration of the shift.
• Must be available to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

$18.25 per hour.

Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years of experience, certifications, and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
