Job Responsibilities- Administer treatments, prescribe medication and vaccinations, and perform procedures based on specialty and training (pap smears, pelvic & breast exams, etc)
- Discuss potential side effects of medication and immunizations with patients.
- Diagnose & treat gynecological conditions such as menstrual disorders, pelvic pain, infections, menopause related symptoms, etc.
- Advise patients on promoting health through diet, hygiene, and disease prevention methods.
- Provide prenatal and postnatal care to mothers and infants.
- Offer family planning services, contraceptive counseling
- Perform minor office-based procedures such as colposcopies, endometrial biopsies, contraceptive implants/removals, and IUD insertions/removals
- Conduct physical examinations for annual physical/well visits, school admission, well woman visits, etc.
- Review and maintain patient files and records, including medical history, allergies, and medications.
- Analyze test results and diagnose patient conditions.
- Refer patients to medical specialists for further consultation when necessary.
- Document patient visits and update medical records in a timely manner.
- Maintain positive working relationships with staff, clients, and the public.
- Medical degree (MD or DO)
- Active California medical license
- Board Certification in OBGYN
- DEA license
- BLS certification
