Compensation for this position is expected to be $31.25 per hour, in alignment with what California Baptist University (CBU) reasonably anticipates paying for this role. The final rate may vary depending on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and prevailing market conditions. In addition to competitive wages, CBU provides a comprehensive and generous benefits package to eligible employees.
Position SummaryUnder the general direction of the Director of the Center for Faculty Development, the Faculty Development Coordinator at California Baptist University (CBU) delivers practical, faculty-focused assistance for classroom-based research and scholarship (e.g., Scholarship of Teaching and Learning, or SoTL). The coordinator helps faculty move from early-stage ideas to clear, actionable next steps through programming, resource development, and guided support. This role centers on providing initial guidance, coordination, and support rather than leading full project design or offering advanced methodological consultation.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and web-based course delivery platforms.
- Proficiency in both Windows and Mac operating systems.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited four-year college or university, along with three to five years of relevant experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
Physical DemandsThe physical demands outlined here are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this role. Regular activities include sitting, standing, and walking, as well as the use of hands and fingers to operate a computer and standard office equipment. The position requires visual acuity to read text and numerical data, and the ability to communicate effectively both in person and by phone.
