The Upward Bound Rialto/Colton-Join (RCJ) Assistant Director (AD) is responsible for the management and implementation of all aspects of the Upward Bound Federal Grant Program Rialto/Colton-Joint. The AD will provide pre‑college services to at least 60 participants and their parents at three high schools in San Bernardo County.
Responsibilities- Conceptualize, develop, and implement program services that align with grant objectives.
- Provide advising, supervision, and instruction to high‑school student participants, helping them develop academic skills for admission to and success at a four‑year university.
- Collect information and track program services provided to participants for the annual performance report.
- Assist the Director in making decisions regarding allocation of funds to implement grant objectives.
- Maintain knowledge of the grant’s year‑through‑year requirements and be prepared for potential extension based on funding and project needs.
- Current work authorization required; no sponsorship for employment visas will be provided.
- Full compliance with all applicable University policies and, where applicable, collective bargaining agreements.
Salary range for the Assistant Director Upward Bound RCJ position is $54,200 - $93,200 annually; expected pay scale is up to $57,000 annually, based on education, licensure, certifications, experience, and organizational needs.
