We are inviting applications for multiple Visiting Assistant Professor positions for the academic year. Applicants from all research areas in Pure and Applied Mathematics are encouraged. A PhD in Mathematics or a closely related field is required by the start of the appointment. Preference will be given to candidates whose research aligns with existing programs at UCR.
Teaching load is two courses per quarter, totaling six quarterly courses per year (approximately 11 weeks per quarter). In addition to teaching, candidates will be expected to attend advanced seminars and work on research projects.
Appointment is initially one year and renewable for up to three additional years. Reappointment is based on demonstrated competence in research, teaching, and other assigned duties, including university and community service. Course evaluations, student comments, and other evidence of teaching excellence will be considered.

Basic qualifications (required at time of application)
