The Department of Psychology and Neuroscience Program invites applications for its part-time lecturer pool. We are seeking experienced, student‑learning focused adjunct faculty to teach face‑to‑face courses on the Riverside campus in the following subject areas:

  • General Psychology (104)
  • Developmental Psychology (234)
  • Critical Thinking in Psychology (106)
  • Abnormal Psychology (275)
  • Human Neuropsychology (365)
  • Other specialized topics in neuroscience (484)

This is a pool of part‑time adjunct faculty for the department to draw on as necessary. Qualified applicants will be contacted when positions are available.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Candidates must have at least a Master's degree in Psychology, Neuroscience, or a closely related field.
  • A Ph.D. or extensive professional experience is desirable for teaching upper‑division courses (300- or 400-level).
  • Preference will be given to candidates who have prior teaching experience at the college or university level and who can furnish evidence of strong teaching.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire and throughout employment.
  • This position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship.
  • Must reside in the State of California by the start date and maintain California residency throughout employment.

COMPENSATION
  • Hourly compensation is determined in accordance with the University's approved Adjunct Faculty Compensation Schedule.
  • Current hourly rates range from $33.80 to $42.76, based on the instructor's academic rank and highest qualifying degree.
