Instructional Assistant, Migrant Head Start Program (Level IV)
The job of Instructional Assistant, Migrant Head Start Program (Level IV) is done for the purpose(s) of assisting in the supervision and instruction of preschool aged children; performing classroom arrangement and clerical tasks; assisting children in meeting health and nutrition needs and developing children's school readiness cognitive, language, physical and social and emotional skills. This position is anticipated to begin at the start of the 2026/2027 school year.
Requirements/ Qualifications
Required experience:
Six months of experience working as an instructional assistant in an early care and education setting. Experience in Head Start/Migrant Head Start programs preferred. Required education:
An Associate's degree from an accredited college/university, including completion of (24) semester units of early childhood/child development education.

The transcripts must be from a regionally accredited college/university and must show Degree Conferred date for Associate's degree or above AND demonstrate completion of 24 eligible semester units of Early Childhood Education/Child Development (ECE/CD) coursework. (Must attach transcripts - Diploma copies will not be accepted)
- Letter of Introduction (Letter must be specific to the position for which you are applying)
- Letter(s) of Recommendation (Two (2) Letters of Recommendation are required and must be signed by the author. The signature block must include the author's name and title/relationship to the applicant. Letters must be dated within the last 2 years prior to the recruitment closing date. Letters without author's signature, name and title/relationship to the applicant and letters without a date or dated more than 2 years prior to the recruitment closing date will not be accepted.
