CTE Auto Body Instructor
The purpose of the CTE Auto Body Instructor is for the purpose(s) of instructing students to develop the necessary skills which will qualify students for entry-level employment in the auto body repair industry.
Requirements / QualificationsEXPERIENCE:
Three (3) years of work experience in the technical skills, trade, or vocations to be taught are required. One (1) of the three (3) years of the required experience must be within the last five (5) years, or two (2) years within the last ten (10) years.
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree desired. Passage of CBEST or Basic Skills Test required prior to employment. CERTIFICATES/ CREDENTIALS/LICENSES:
• Possession of, or ability to obtain prior to employment, a valid California Designated Subjects Vocational Teaching Credential for the subject to be taught (Refer to the Commission on Teacher Credentialing pamphlet for Designated Subjects Vocational Teaching Credentials.)
• EL certification or equivalent such as CLAD, BCLAD, or SDAIE
• Valid California Driver's License may be required

- Letter(s) of Recommendation (Two (2) Letters of Recommendation are required and must be signed by the author. The signature block must include the author's name and title/relationship to the applicant. Letters must be dated within the last 2 years prior to the recruitment closing date. Letters without author's signature, name and title/relationship to the applicant and letters without a date or dated more than 2 years prior to the recruitment closing date will not be accepted.
