The purpose of Substitute Teacher, Alternative Education is done for the purpose/s of providing academic instruction and supervising at risk students; documenting events and/or student activities for potential use in a court of law, ensuring compliance with drug, alcohol programs, court orders, etc. and processing new students in accordance with court/probation requirements.
Requirements / QualificationsREQUIRED EXPERIENCE Experience relevant to the duties outlined in the job description will be considered when making the selection decision. REQUIRED EDUCATION Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university is required. REQUIRED CREDENTIALS/CERTIFICATES/LICENSES Possession of a valid California Multiple or Single Subject teaching credential or valid Emergency 30-Day Substitute Teaching Permit Verification of meeting the Basic Skills Requirement. You must provide evidence of qualifying for this credential with your application materials.

The signature block must include the author's name and title/relationship to the applicant. Letters must be dated within the last 2 years prior to the position closing date. Letters without author's signature, name and title/relationship to the applicant and letters without a date or dated more than 2 years prior to the position closing date will not be accepted.
