Permit Teacher – Early Head Start
The position of Permit Teacher – Early Head Start is under general supervision and plans and participates in the care, instruction, and supervision of children in a Head Start Infant/Toddler program; assists in the day-to-day operation of the center; and performs other job-related duties as required, i.e., parent involvement.

EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university is required. A Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education or closely related field is preferred. Also must have six semester units in an Infant/Toddler course. CERTIFICATES/CREDENTIALS/LICENSES:
• Possession of a valid California Children's Center/Child Development Permit authorizing instruction in a Child Development Center Program and Infant/Toddler (Refer to Commission on Teacher Credentialing pamphlet for Child Development Teacher Permit)
• Valid California Driver's License

- Letter of Introduction (Letter must be specific to the position for which you are applying)
- Letter(s) of Recommendation (Two (2) Letters of Recommendation are required and must be signed by the author. The signature block must include the author's name and title/relationship to the applicant. Letters must be dated within the last 2 years prior to the position closing date. Letters without author's signature, name and title/relationship to the applicant and letters without a date or dated more than 2 years prior to the position closing date will not be accepted.
