Basic Function:
Riverside Community College District is seeking qualified applicants to establish a pool for part-time and/or substitute instructors in this discipline. Applications will be kept on file for one year from the date of submission. When a position becomes available, the hiring department will review the applications on file and contact the candidates they are interested in interviewing. When an application has not been updated for one year, it will expire and the applicant will be notified to resubmit a new application.
Required:
Any Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience; or any Associate’s degree and six years of experience; or a Master’s degree in the discipline. (All degrees and units used to satisfy minimum qualifications must be from accredited institutions.)
With an Associate’s degree, six years of full‑time or the equivalent part‑time professional or occupational experience in the field are required. With a Bachelor’s degree, two years of full‑time or the equivalent part‑time professional or occupational experience in the field are required. Teaching experience is desirable.
Licenses/CertificationsWhen a current occupational certification or license is required to practice in the field, the applicant must possess a current, valid certification or license to practice in California.
OtherEvidence of sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students (E.C. 87360a).
Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe assignment will include lecture and/or laboratory instruction in the discipline.
Conditions of Employment:
All assignments are contingent upon District need and/or sufficient enrollment, and may include day, evening, and/or weekend classes.
