Site Manager II
The position of Site Manager II is responsible for physical and emotional well-being of children by utilizing proper child development education practices and techniques. The position is also responsible for staff supervision and parent involvement in the educational programs at several sites. The position is designated as a Certificated Management position under the general supervision of the program coordinator or director and is part of the management Leadership Team.
This is a categorically funded position, funded on a year to year basis.
Experience:
A minimum of three (3) years of successful teaching experience in a child development program required; and a minimum of two (2) years of lead or supervisory experience in a child development/child center program that would demonstrate the ability to perform described duties and responsibilities of the position. Migrant Head Start Site Managers are required to be proficient in oral and written Spanish.
Education:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in early childhood education, human development, liberal studies, or childhood development. Master's degree desirable. Early Education sites that serve infants and toddlers require three (3) additional infant/toddler semester units. Certificates/Credentials/Licenses:
Possession of a valid California Credential/Permit, authorizing multiple site supervision of Child Development Centers or Administrative Services Credential (Refer to Commission on Teacher Credentialing pamphlet for: Child Development Program Director Permit) Valid California Driver's License You must provide copies of permit/credential as required for the position with your application materials to qualify for the position.

- Credential Copy (Possession of a valid California Credential/Permit, authorizing multiple site supervision of Child Development Centers or Administrative Services Credential (Refer to Commission on Teacher Credentialing pamphlet for: Child Development Program Director Permit))
- Letter of Introduction (Letter is required to be specific to this position)
- Letter(s) of Recommendation (Two (2) Letters of Recommendation are required and must be signed by the author. The signature block must include the author's name and title/relationship to the applicant. Letters must be dated within the last 2 years prior to the position closing date. Letters without author's signature, name and title/relationship to the applicant and letters without a date or dated more than 2 years prior to the position closing date will not be accepted.
