Department Specific Needs:Job Description Under the direction of the area Director and the Disability Resource Specialist, the Student Aide II will greet students at the front desk, work as a scribe to assist other student for classroom tasks, and help proctor exams.
Basic Function:
Performs a variety of clerical and/or manual related duties that are usually semi-skilled in nature and may require only limited skill, training or experience. Learns role on the job. Requires basic knowledge of administrative activities and procedures within work area. Exchanges information with co-workers, staff within the District and the community. May require completion of certain courses to qualify.

Experience:
Credible customer service experience with an assistive mindset. Understanding of gradually complex projects. Communicates well and needs to be on time for assignments. Ability to communicate well with students and staff. Knowledge of outlook email, MyPortal and able to learn other department systems.
Other:
Completed 2026-27 FAFSA application and Financial Aid file at Moreno Valley College.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet students at the front desk and answer phones.
- Will work as a scribe to assist other students with classroom tasks by receiving direction from the student with writing, exams or projects(includes specifics with terminology, spelling, grammar, punctuation, organization and corrections).
- Help proctor exams.
- Create Flyers and various media items.
- Other duties as assigned.
Conditions of Employment:
Jobs only available to Moreno Valley Students who have Moreno Valley College as their Home Campus.
Must be enrolled in at least half-time units (6 units for Fall and Spring and 3 units for Winter and Summer).
Must maintain a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.0.
* IF funded by Federal Work Study (FWS) Grant or Cal Works Work Study (CWS) grant, students must maintain eligibility for the FWS grant to maintain the position.
Work Hours/Work Days for Classified and Hourly Positions Only:
Hours will vary accordingly:
Monday - Friday. May include Saturday hours with Supervisor approval. Hours will be agreed upon by supervisor and student upon offer of position. Student Employees are limited to a maximum of 20 hours per week and 8 hours per day.
