Epic Special Education Staffing is seeking a Teacher Certified in Visual Impairment for the school year. In this role, you will provide specialized instruction and consultation to K-12 students with visual impairments across diverse school settings. Responsibilities include conducting functional vision and learning media assessments, implementing IEP-driven goals, teaching braille and assistive technology skills, adapting curriculum, and collaborating closely with educators, therapists, families, and school teams.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct and consultative instruction to students with visual impairments in K-12 settings based on IEP goals.
- Conduct and interpret functional vision and learning media assessments to inform instructional planning.
- Teach braille, assistive technology, and visual efficiency skills to support access to curriculum.
- Collaborate with general and special education teachers, related service providers, and families.
- Adapt instructional materials and environments to maximize student independence and participation.
- Document services, progress, and IEP goal attainment in accordance with school and district requirements.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute specialized expertise in visual impairment.
- Travel between assigned school sites as needed and manage a caseload across settings.
- Engage in ongoing professional development related to visual impairment and special education.
- Support a mission-driven, inclusive culture focused on student outcomes and collaboration.
