Make a meaningful impact by providing specialized support as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing for the  academic year. This full-time position offers 37.5 hours per week working with students from kindergarten through 12th grade. Qualifications:
  • California credential for Deaf/Hard of Hearing (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Experience or training in educational support for DHH students
  • Capability to adapt curriculum and instructional style for diverse learning needs
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
  • Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and encouraging atmosphere
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
  • Deliver customized instruction for DHH students across K-12 grades, adapting methods to support individual success
  • Collaborate with general education teachers to integrate accommodations and modifications
  • Create and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs), monitoring student progress
  • Consult with families and team members regarding best strategies and resources
  • Advocate for accessible resources and assistive technology as needed
  • Maintain records, participate in student evaluations, and contribute to multidisciplinary meetings
