What You'll Do
- Design, analyze, improve, and control manufacturing processes using DMAIC methodologies
- Lead and implement Lean manufacturing initiatives, including 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Process Mapping, and Kaizen events
- Drive continuous improvement projects focused on waste reduction, cost savings, and process efficiency
- Serve as a continuous improvement mentor, promoting Lean culture and best practices on the plant floor
- Develop, document, and maintain standard work, production rates, and process controls
- Conduct time studies, line balancing, and bottleneck analysis to improve throughput
- Layout new work areas and reorganize equipment to support process improvements
- Support production by identifying and eliminating process limitations
- Collaborate with design engineering on testing, analysis, and implementation of alternate components and sub-assemblies
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to identify and resolve equipment and process issues
- Design, develop, test, source, and justify tooling, machinery, and equipment improvements
- Support customer complaint resolution through root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Develop product quality plans and inspection methodologies
- Provide engineering support across manufacturing operations to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting timelines in a fast-paced environment
- Train, mentor, and partner with employees across departments
What You Bring
- Bachelor of Science degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2-3 years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer in a manufacturing environment
- Strong experience with Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, process control, and FMEA
- Six Sigma Green Belt required;
Black Belt experience preferred - Proven leadership in Value Stream Mapping, Process Mapping, and Kaizen events
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skills
- Ability to influence and collaborate effectively with teams from the plant floor to leadership
- Excellent time management and project management capabilities
