* Since the early 1990s, Shimmick has been self-performing electrical scopes for infrastructure projects. In 2025 the Electrical Division rebranded to Axia Electric, a subsidiary to Shimmick Construction. Axia offers electrical, instrumentation, and process controls expertise for water and wastewater treatment; dams and locks; mass transit and rail; alternative energy; power generation and transmission; and commercial building projects. Axia Electric, headquartered in Riverside, California, focuses on large public owners in several states, across water resources, water treatment, transportation and transit markets. Over the past decade, the division has grown tremendously, securing major projects, including the $350 million North City Pure Water Facility () in San Diego and the $235 million EVMWD Regional Water Reclamation Facility Expansion Projectin Lake Elsinore, CA.
** Responsibilities*
* The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
+ Provide overall on-site administrative and technical management for a wide range of construction projects.
+ Responsible for the organization and direction of construction and related activities within assigned area of responsibility, which may be a single area, multi-area, or a multi-discipline construction project.
+ May be the primary client contact for all jobsite day to day activities or may coordinate with client's resident representatives on jobsite activities within assigned area of operations.
+ Responsibilities are to ensure assigned jobsite operations are in compliance with design/specifications, completion on schedule, within budget and to quality standards. Interfaces with all other administrative field staff, field management staff and particularly the Project Manager in a coordinated effort.
+ Help foster development and training of the next generation of talent.
** Qualifications*
* Minimum Requirements:
+ High school diploma or equivalient.
+ 15+ years of relevant experience in industrial electrical work:
+ Power distribution and transmission, instrumentation and controls, transit and rail, and alternative energy.
+ Demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 3 years of leadership.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience in heavy civil construction projects; concrete structures, MSE Walls, Rail, Transit, Wastewater.
+ Current OSHA 10.
+ Must be detail oriented, thorough, well organized and effectively manage time.
+ Experience facilitating meetings and working groups with diverse stakeholders, including engineers, executives, and JV partners.
+ Familiarity with CMAR/CMGC, Design-Build, and alternative delivery contracting models.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe InDesign, SharePoint, CMiC (Cost Management).
+ Strong writing and editing, with experience tailoring technical content for client needs.
+ Ability to work in a high-paced environment with a sense of urgency.
Additional Information:

The salary range for this position is between **$175,000- $225,000
** per year depending on experience and/or education.
