Geotechnical Engineer

In the role of Geotechnical Engineer, you'll be responsible for:

• Developing geotechnical engineering designs, sketches, plans, specifications and estimates.
• Developing and overseeing geotechnical subsurface characterization programs for routine work.
• Performing complex assignments that exercise judgment in evaluation, selection and modification of standard engineering techniques and procedures.
• Conducting and overseeing teams responsible for slope stability, settlement, and seepage analysis and conducting geotechnical engineering studies on complex projects.
• Making decisions on significant design and engineering procedures as needed.
• Functioning as a technical specialist or project manager on mid‑size projects as needed (project management is not the sole focus of this position).
• Supervising a small staff of professionals and technicians as needed.
• Performing other duties as needed.

• A minimum of 3 years of previous experience.
• MSCE preferred.

• Professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered (e.g., Professional Engineer (PE) or P.Eng license).
• Previous experience with Microsoft Office applications, Micro Station or other software as appropriate.
• Experience with Geo Studio/Ensoft slope stability, settlement, seepage and deep foundation response software, as appropriate.
• Experience with Bentley suite of geotechnical data management and visualization software (gINT/Open Ground/Leap Frog).
