Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Project Engineer with a strong background in mechanical and HVAC systems to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in the planning, design, and execution of HVAC and mechanical projects. This role requires strong problem‑solving abilities, technical expertise, and the ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders to ensure project success.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the design, development, and implementation of HVAC and mechanical systems for various projects.
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and project specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Work closely with project managers, contractors, and clients to coordinate project activities and resolve technical issues.
- Prepare technical reports, cost estimates, and project schedules to ensure efficiency and feasibility.
- Conduct site inspections and assessments to monitor project progress and quality control.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, local building codes, and safety regulations.
- Assist in selecting and procuring mechanical equipment, materials, and subcontractors.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for HVAC and mechanical installations.
- Utilize AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software to support project development.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including reports, change orders, and submittals.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in mechanical and HVAC engineering projects.
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, mechanical design principles, and energy efficiency standards.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant engineering software.
- Knowledge of ASHRAE standards, local building codes, and LEED requirements.
- Excellent problem‑solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with project management tools and estimating software is a plus.
- This role involves working in an office setting with frequent on‑site visits to project locations.
- May require occasional travel to meet with clients, contractors, and vendors.
- Some evening or weekend work may be necessary depending on project deadlines.
