Early Career Electrical Engineer
Location:
Riverside, CA (also available for Los Angeles, CA).
- Provide technical support to engineers and project teams in the design and development of building electrical systems.
- Assist with the design of power distribution, lighting, grounding, and low‑voltage systems for a variety of building types.
- Support development of construction documents, drawings, and specifications.
- Collect, compile, and analyze engineering data to support project execution and design decisions.
- Generate accurate and concise technical reports and documentation.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, structural, and architectural staff.
- Perform field observations and assist with site visits as needed.
- Ensure work is delivered in alignment with WSP quality standards and applicable codes and safety requirements.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- 0–1 years of relevant internship or professional experience in electrical engineering or building systems design.
- Basic knowledge of electrical engineering principles and building systems.
- Exposure to AutoCAD and/or Revit.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team‑oriented environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Internship or co‑op experience in consulting engineering or building design.
- Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain.
- Familiarity with electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC).
- Interest in markets such as healthcare, commercial, higher education, or science & technology.

CompensationExpected Salary: $68,200 - $93,800.
