Experienced Principal Traffic Engineer (Civil Projects | Registration as a Professional Civil Engineer | TE) – Riverside, CA
Salary: $122,000 - $155,000 per year
Responsibilities- Senior leadership role responsible for managing traffic engineering projects, supervising technical staff, and serving as a key client‑facing leader on public and private sector projects throughout the Inland Empire.
- Manage construction documents and contracts, project schedules and budgets, design and support staff.
- Prepare contracts, fee proposals, scopes of work.
- Lead multidisciplinary project teams and make independent engineering and business decisions.
- Provide extensive interaction with public agencies, municipal staff, and internal cross‑functional teams.
- Supervise and mentor technical/design staff; minimum 3 years of people management experience.
- Strong client‑facing presence with public agencies.
- BS in Civil Engineering.
- California Professional Civil Engineer (PE).
- California Traffic Engineer (TE) license or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- 8+ years with a degree or 12–15 years equivalent industry experience.
- Minimum 3 years of people management experience.
- Strong knowledge of California jurisdictional codes, standards, and procedures (strongly preferred).
