About Us

We are a well-established Southern California consulting firm specializing in geotechnical engineering, engineering geology, and environmental consulting. For decades, we have partnered with developers, architects, engineers, municipalities, and contractors to provide practical solutions that support projects from initial due diligence through construction.

Our team is known for delivering high-quality technical work while fostering a collaborative, employee-focused culture where people are encouraged to grow professionally, work autonomously, and maintain a healthy work-life balance.

One of the unique aspects of this opportunity is that it is part of a planned succession. Rather than hiring after someone has left, we are proactively bringing the right person on to allow for knowledge transfer, mentorship, and a smooth transition into an established role with long-standing client relationships.

Position Summary

We are seeking a licensed California Professional Geologist (PG) with environmental consulting experience to join our growing team.

This position offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced geologist who enjoys both technical work and client interaction. The successful candidate will support a diverse portfolio of environmental consulting, engineering geology, and geotechnical projects while developing into a project and client management role over time.

Working closely with senior leadership, you will have the opportunity to build upon an established client base while continuing to grow both technically and professionally.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct and manage Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments.
  • Plan and oversee field investigations, including soil, groundwater, and subsurface investigations.
  • Provide engineering geology support during rough grading and construction activities.
  • Prepare technical reports, proposals, and environmental evaluations.
  • Interpret field and laboratory data and develop practical recommendations.
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, laboratories, and regulatory agencies.
  • Manage multiple projects while maintaining quality, schedules, and budgets.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Collaborate closely with geotechnical engineers and engineering geologists.
  • Continue developing into project and client management responsibilities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Geology, Earth Science, or a related field.
  • Active California Professional Geologist (PG) license.
  • 7-10+ years of environmental and/or geotechnical consulting experience.
  • Experience with Phase I & II Environmental Site Assessments, environmental due diligence, geotechnical investigations, proposal preparation, and technical report writing.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience with CorelDRAW is a plus but not required (training provided).
Preferred Qualifications
  • California Certified Engineering Geologist (CEG) license is a plus.
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER certification.
  • Experience supporting Southern California land development projects.
  • Familiarity with California environmental regulations.
  • Previous project management and/or client management experience.
Why Join Us?
  • Join a respected Southern California consulting firm with an established reputation and long-standing client relationships.
  • Work on a diverse mix of environmental consulting, engineering geology, and geotechnical projects.
  • Be part of a collaborative, close-knit team where your contributions are recognized.
  • Enjoy greater autonomy and work-life balance than is often found at larger consulting firms.
  • Receive mentorship and support while growing into project and client management responsibilities.
  • Step into a thoughtfully planned succession opportunity with long-term career stability and growth.
