Pay Range:
Compensation for this position is expected to range between $22.00 per hour, in alignment with what California Baptist University (CBU) reasonably anticipates paying for this role. The final rate may vary depending on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and prevailing market conditions.
Position Summary:
Patrols campus parking lots to enforce parking regulations and issue parking citations. Provides a customer service presence at University properties to offer information, directions, and guidance on University resources. May be assigned to day shift or swing shift, Monday – Friday.

- Flexibility in working part-time shift assignments as required by the department, Monday – Friday.
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in dynamic situations.
- Skill in providing directions and resources to individuals on campus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
- Ability to resolve customer complaints and concerns.
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; and requires sufficient hand, arm, and finger dexterity to operate a computer keyboard or other office equipment. Requires visual acuity to read words and numbers and speaking and hearing ability sufficient to communicate in person or over the phone.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and stand and/or walk for more than four (4) hours per day. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. Work normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment, with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards.
Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); and related customer service experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior law enforcement and/or experience in a higher education environment are preferred qualifications.
