Financial Analyst
POSITION SUMMARY
The Budget Analyst Intern will work in a team environment supporting budget/forecasting activities and financial analysis. The intern will be focused on supporting fiscal-year activities and projects, in addition to month-end close with the Budget team.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Assist in month-end and fiscal year-end activities and related tasks
- Foster relationships with UCPath departments and collaborate with senior staff and department leads
- Assist with creation of procedure documents and visual aids of various workflows
- Track progress of purchase orders and reconcile balances
- Help prepare Word, PowerPoint, and Excel documents
- Provide support for various finance and budget related tasks and projects as needed
- Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills
- Strong writing skills, including the ability to write clear and concise emails
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in handling numerical data
- Ability to communicate technical information to personnel at various levels in the organization
- Demonstrate interest in learning in an enterprise environment
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable as priorities evolve
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Previous experience or coursework in finance, accounting, or billing processes
- Familiarity with financial management tools
Currently enrolled in or graduated within 6 months from a University of California undergraduate program before the start of the program on June 22, 2026
PREFERRED EDUCATIONPursuing a degree in finance, economics, accounting, business administration, or related field
SALARY AND BENEFITS$21.68 - $27.09 per hour. Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience.

This position will work a hybrid schedule which includes a combination of working both onsite at the UCPath Center in Riverside and remote in California.
