Audit Professional

Overview

Under the general direction of the Director of Audit and Advisory Services, the Associate Auditor performs audits, investigations, and advisory services across financial, compliance, functional, and operational areas, serving management in accordance with professional auditing standards. The role covers risks spanning organizational lines and complex technologies involving financial, research, and information resources.

• Conduct complex audits and develop policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Provide advisory services to campus management.
• Perform limited‑scope examinations, surveys, reviews, and consultations.
• Execute data analytic procedures using audit software (Excel, Team Mate).
• Participate in work groups, committees, and business process re‑engineering projects.
• Conduct investigations into allegations of improper governmental activities and report findings.
• Compile and present audit reports with observations and recommended changes.

• Applicants will be evaluated against the minimum requirements for the level applied.
• Current work authorization required; UCR does not sponsor visas.

The salary range for the Audit Professional 3 is $75,900 - $137,300 annually; expected pay up to $106,600 annually.
