Financial Manager
Position Summary
Inland Empire United (IE United) is a civic engagement collective impact table based in Riverside and San Bernardino Counties. We envision a region of civically engaged residents committed to building political power and cultivating diverse, healthy, safe, and thriving communities. We do this by engaging underrepresented and long-ignored communities as voters, vocal stakeholders, and leaders in order to build the grassroots power needed to revitalize the Inland Region.
The Finance Manager will support IE United’s mission by managing bookkeeping, budgeting, grant tracking, and account management, while supporting broader administrative and accounting needs for the family of IE United entities. This role ensures accurate and comprehensive bookkeeping, ensures reporting deliverables are appropriately disbursed, and works with the Operations Director to meet the operational needs of the organization.
Qualifications
- Proficient knowledge of financial management and nonprofit compliance, especially c3 and c4 distinctions
- Intuit Quickbooks Online Pro certified
- Proficiency in everyday business software, including:
Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Monday/Asana, and Dropbox - Aware or experienced with the political landscape within San Bernardino and Riverside Counties
- Demonstrated commitment to racial and economic justice

Responsibilities
- Manages accounting in accordance with best practices for all associated entities
- Finance management including but not limited to: annual budget creation and management, grant budget creation and management, AR and AP processing
- Conducts monthly bank, credit card and account reconciliation on an ongoing basis
- Provides personal expense reimbursement and credit card reconciling
- Conducts cost analysis and provide recommendations for resource allocation
- Prepares monthly Expense Reports for Executive Leadership
- Prepares financial reports for the Executive Director and the associated Boards
- Supports financial report generation for grant applications
- Generates and manages tracking system and reminders for grant reporting due dates
- Issue and revoke credit cards with approval from leadership
- Oversees completion of annual audit and tax filings for appropriate organizations
- Ensures the time allocation of staff is appropriately documented on a regular basis
- Tracks lobbying and advocacy time appropriately in timekeeping software
- Vendor account management and contract negotiation
- Supports the Executive Director, Operations Director, Operations Department, and Program Team
- Ensure the organization complies with federal, state, and local regulations
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
