• Resolve delinquency on vehicle loans where timely payments are not being received
• Provide direct assistance to Members by identifying causes of non-payment and offering personalized options
• Work charged-off or delinquent vehicle loans through inbound/outbound calls, written and electronic correspondence, and other approved methods
• Work specialized queues for defaulted repayment plans or vehicle loans
• Set up repayment plans, negotiate settlements, re-establish Membership services, and perform account maintenance
• Review charged-off loans for collection agency placement and refer accounts for litigation review
• Assist with 1099-C tax form filings, monthly audits, collection agency placements, and reporting
• Generate Final Demand Letters, Notices of Intent to Sell, and Deficiency Balance letters
• Review accounts for repossession efforts and assist with reinstatement requirements
• Handle impounded vehicles by contacting tow yards and government agencies, negotiating fees, and handling Lien Objections and disposition paperwork
• Review, audit, and submit vendor invoices for approval
• Perform other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 1-3 years of prior related experience required
- Knowledge of FDCPA, TCPA and SCRA
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Conflict resolution and negotiation skills
- Active listening skills
- Intermediate computer and typing skills
- Basic skip tracing skills
- Previous financial institution or credit union experience preferred
- Experience with inbound/outbound phone system preferred
- Must comply with regulatory compliance and assigned training requirements, including BSA regulations
- Must meet E-Verify employment requirements
