Special Procedures Tech - Cath Lab

Responsibilities

• The Radiology Technologist operates x-ray equipment as designated for the Radiology Department.
• Selects proper exposure factors and demonstrates through knowledge of radiographic positioning.
• Practices radiological technology in a manner that ensures radiation safety for self and the patient.
• Performs diagnostic and invasive procedures on Cardiac/Interventional platforms.
• Demonstrates competency and proficiency with x-ray equipment in various locations such as Cath Lab/Interventional labs.

• Experience necessary for satisfactory performance.
• Licensed by the State of California in Radiology and Fluoroscopy.
• Certified by The American Registry of Radiological Technologists preferred.
• Current Basis Life Support Level C Certificate.
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or ARRT CVI certified preferred.
• At least three year of experience as a Radiology Technologist, or previous experience or training in a Cardiovascular Lab, required.
• Current ACLS and BCLS required (AHA).
• Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump Certified within 6 months of hire.
